Hints of Antisemitism in the Haggadah

Haggadahs have been created and illustrated since the 13th Century. Any book or text reflects the social realities of the time. Throughout history Jews have been confronted with antisemitism. Blood libels, the Crusades, the  Spanish Inquisition, the Holocaust, and other movements took their toll on Jewish lives. We will look at haggadahs and their illustrations to see how antisemitic conditions were reflected in haggadah art.
