The Story of the Scribe and the Text

Throughout history words and letters have been played with, stretched and manipulated to communicate emotions or emotions beyond the word itself.  From the beginning Jews and words have been intrinsically interwoven. This presentation looks at the roots of Hebrew and English letters.  It then explores lettering from Torah text to micrography, and from Rashi to Ben Shahn.  This is an interesting presentation for those interested in the scribal arts and Jewish art history.
